Gulab Jamun |
Ingredients:
- 1 cup khoya (mawa)
- 1/4 cup maida (all-purpose flour)
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp milk (as needed)
- Ghee/oil for deep frying
Sugar syrup:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 4-5 green cardamom pods
- A few saffron strands (optional)
- Rose water (1 tsp, optional)
Method:
1. Khoya, maida, baking soda mix karo thoda thoda milk daal kar soft dough banao.
2. Chhote chhote smooth balls bana lo.
3. Oil/ghee garam karke low-medium flame par gulab jamun ko golden brown tak fry karo.
4. Sugar aur water milakar 1-string consistency tak syrup banayo, cardamom aur saffron daalo.
5. Fried jamun ko garam sugar syrup me daal kar 1-2 ghante soak hone do.
6. Rose water daal kar serve karo.
